Tenerife - Iberostar Torviscas Playa Hotel Review

I used to work as a rep on Tenerife and out of all hotels we worked with, this one got the most positive feedback from the tourists, so when I decided to go back there to relax for Christmas, Iberostar Torviscas Playa was an obvious choice. And I must say I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is a 4-star hotel located in Costa Adeje. It is situated right by the sea, so the walk to the beach is very short; however, the pool area is also quite nice and I found myself preferring to stay there rather than go to the sea.
The room was spacious and had a great view over the sea. It was facing the street however, and there was some noise in the evening, but though I consider myself a light sleeper, I had no difficulties falling asleep. I loved the colours that the room was done in - very warm and homey and welcoming. The bathroom was quite big also. You do notice that the rooms are a bit tired though and could do with some refurbishment.
The hotel has a small gym, which I found to be empty most of the time, so there's no struggle to get on the machines. There's animation, so during the day there's stuff to take part in, like aerobics, darts, archery and salsa class. In the evenings, there is live music and some show - my favourite was the tribute to The Supremes.
My favourite thing about the hotel however was the food. I had half board, and was quite swept off my feet by the rich selection of absolutely delicious food. The chocolate cake was to die for!
The manager of the hotel is a very pleasant lady and everything is run smoothly. So if you want to relax and treat yourself to yummy meals, I would say this is the perfect place to be.
