The hotels I stay at are usually 4-5* hotels located in the more upmarket or quieter areas of resorts and near transport links during city breaks. The board type depends on the kind of trip and destination - I prefer room only for city breaks, but otherwise I try to go at least half board, so good food is important. I am a TripAdvisor addict when it comes to booking and only ever look at hotels with a rating of at least 4, preferably 4.5, so it is unlikely that you will read any nightmare stories here, but if I have any niggles, I will point them out.
